I envision using technology to help me identify the major understandings and essential questions in a given content area, and then identifying the ways in which technology will support students accessing these major understandings and answering these essential questions.
creation of a "21st century classroom" with mounted projectors, computer access for all students, student centered learning using technology as a method for exploration and creation.
Using the Internet to connect with specific persons, preferably same age group at students, to initiate and create dialogs of interest to the students whom I teach. The level of interest, of course, leads to the student's desire to learn the speaking skills.
I would like a .mac account for my school and a way to load up podcasts of student/class projects and activities. I would also like to explore the use of Acrobat Professional.
Allowing students to answer "written response" and "essay" questions orally and have them recorded for scoring later - since I can't provide enough time for all the students who want 1:1 verbal testing. Ideally I could even give them feedback right on it in a different color.

Blackboard. Would love to use SmartBoard more but it is not always accessible, need to get set up to use it.
Having kids look up information in computer sites
Use on line text books and practice questions that are purchasable-I don't have to type all that in
Make more formative assessments available to the kids that are interactive. Set up communicative study groups with students in the class

Demonstrations of steps in using Boolean search strategies or subject-based indexes when doing research in data bases.
I would like to create wiki spaces, or some kind of interactive space, for my course.
I would like to be able to post my course info and essential area info online for parents/caregivers to access.

I love this survey and how we are all doing it at the same time and reviewing everyone's responses. How can we do this in class with content?
